On July 30, 2026, Vingroup announced that “VinFast” is the official name for the world’s largest stadium (135,000 seats) at the Hanoi International Sports Complex.
Choosing the VinFast brand for this iconic project representing Vietnamese sports not only aims to honor the courage, intelligence, and spirit of Vietnam in the new era, but also conveys the aspiration to reach greater heights and contribute to promoting the image of a developed and prosperous Vietnam internationally.
VinFast Stadium is located at the southern gateway of Hanoi, in the heart of the Hanoi International Sports Complex. The stadium covers a total area of 73.3 hectares, has a capacity of up to 135,000 seats, and is designed to FIFA standards. Upon completion, it will be the largest stadium with an automatically retractable roof on the planet.
Given its global scale and prestige, the stadium’s name holds special significance, needing to be fitting for the stature of an iconic structure while also reflecting the aspiration to conquer the most challenging heights and promoting the image of Vietnam and its people on the international stage.
Based on these criteria, the VinFast brand has officially been chosen to name the world’s largest stadium. After 9 years of establishment, VinFast has transcended the stature of a car manufacturer to become a symbol of the courage, intelligence, and fierce determination of the Vietnamese people.

In line with VinFast’s green mission, the VinFast stadium will be one of the greenest and smartest stadiums globally. The facility integrates artificial intelligence (AI) technology, enabling the replacement of the pitch surface in just 6-10 hours, a smart seating system with 5G connectivity, and real-time security management and crowd control.
Water recovery and reuse solutions save up to 70% of clean water, while natural ventilation systems and heat- and UV-resistant materials contribute to reduced energy consumption, moving towards a sustainable operating model. The VVIP area is designed to high international standards, meeting the requirements for hosting heads of state and high-ranking delegations at major international events.
Surrounding the VinFast stadium is a diverse and modern ecosystem of supporting sports facilities, shaping a world-class sports, entertainment, and cultural complex, well-suited to hosting world-class sporting and cultural events such as the ASIAD, FIFA World Cup , or the Olympics in the future, contributing to making Vietnam a new destination for global events.
According to the plan, the VinFast Stadium will be completed in July 2027.
